Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Hartford, CT. Candidate must have strong handson expertise in Apigee API management, a major qualification required for consideration in this role.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Developer job responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing API proxies, shared flows, and policies in Apigee while ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient API operations.
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines for API deployments including linting, automated tests, security scans, and zerodowntime releases.
- Configuring Apigee Developer Portals by managing API products, onboarding workflows, documentation, and developer app registrations.
- Modeling Apigee environments using Terraform or Apigee Config Management to support multienvironment IaC automation.
- Collaborating with product, architecture, and backend teams to build RESTful and eventdriven integrations with proper versioning and compatibility.
- Monitoring API performance and reliability using Apigee Analytics, Splunk/ELK, and cloud monitoring tools to enforce SLOs and improve resiliency.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3-5+ years of handson Apigee (Edge or X) development.
- Proven expertise in designing and deploying Apigee API proxies, shared flows, and security policies (OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, mTLS) with CI/CD.
- Practical experience with IaC for Apigee (Terraform/Apigee Config Management) and Developer Portal configuration, plus solid JavaScript and one of Java/Python/ Node.js.
