Bethlehem Counseling Associates (BCA) is a well-established and growing behavioral health practice dedicated to providing exceptional care and a supportive work environment for our clinicians and staff. We are currently seeking a Billing and Credentialing Specialist to join our administrative team.
This position plays a key role in supporting the operational success of our practice by ensuring accurate billing, efficient insurance processing and verification, and timely credentialing of our practitioners. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day billing operations within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including charge entry, claims submission, and payment posting.
- Perform insurance verification for clients prior to sessions to confirm eligibility, benefits, and coverage details.
- Review and follow up on insurance claims to ensure accurate processing and timely reimbursement.
- Support provider credentialing and re-credentialing with insurance panels and managed care organizations
- Maintain accurate provider records and ensure compliance with all credentialing requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, insurance representatives, and administrative staff to resolve billing, verification, and credentialing issues.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements within billing and administrative workflows.
- Generate and manage reports using Excel, and create documentation and communications in Word and Microsoft Teams.
- Support front desk operations as needed, including answering phones, greeting clients, and scheduling appointments.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical or behavioral health billing within an EHR system (TherapyNotes experience a plus).Proven experience with insurance verification, billing, claims management, and practitioner credentialing.Strong understanding of billing codes, claim submission procedures, and payer guidelines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Teams.High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Why Join Bethlehem Counseling Associates?
