Contracts Lead I - The Woodlands, TX
What role you will play in our team :
- The Contract Owner has overall responsibility to manage contract life cycles by driving value and efficiency, while ensuring operational integrity
- This role supports the procurement needs for Craft Labor within the Company
- The Contract Owner will own and manage agreements with a specific Craft Labor sub-category
- The Contract Owner will optimize the Total Cost of Ownership for lifecycle of agreements
- The Contract Owner will be responsible for execution of established commercial strategy, stakeholder engagement, management of change and relationship management of agreement throughout their lifecycle
What you will do :
Negotiates contract pricing and terms & conditions directly with suppliers while working with internal stakeholders, seeking lowest Total Cost of ownership and appropriate mitigation of supply and legal riskWorks with other Contract Owners on the development of contracts, bids and best practices for contract managementExecutes Acquisition processes in full compliance with Company proceduresFully leverages Procurement processes and tools to ensure most effective procurement method is utilizedMaintains agreement portfolio including scope updates, pricing, exhibits and amendmentsEnsures contract compliance and utilization, monitoring supplier performance and troubleshooting issuesEnsure transactional efficiency of agreements by leveraging systems and technologyIdentifies business value and other opportunities within the portfolioSupports development and executes implementation of Category strategy and commercial guidanceDevelops market expertise - follow market trends, know the supplier landscape and learn about the latest technologiesIdentifies efficiencies by continually reviewing contract leakage, overheads, third-party markups, etc.Tracks cost avoidance, cost mitigation and business enhancement resultsDrive a continuous improvement mindset within the broader team and with the stakeholder community and with suppliersSkills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or other relevant Business or Engineering degreeMinimum of 5 years of contracting, strategic procurement and / or category management experienceStrong negotiation skillsDemonstrated leadership ability and excellent communication (written and verbal) skillsStrong analytical and critical thinking skills including use of sound judgementAbility to create strong working relationships with key stakeholdersEffective collaborator across multi-function, multi-geography teamTeam player with the ability to adapt to changing requirements or deadlinesAbility to balance competing priorities and deliver resultsPreferred Qualifications / Experience :
Oil and Gas Industry Procurement experienceCraft Laor (skilled trades) Procurement or Operations experienceDemonstrated Commercial experience with bids, auctions and negotiationsAbility to lead with informal authorityAbility to analyze large data sets and communicate insights effectivelyAbility to demonstrate a sense of urgency and personal ownershipProven ability to advocate and influence at all levels of the organizationAnalytical skills / understanding of Total Cost of Ownership conceptProven project planning and execution skillsExperience with Purchase-to-Pay processes and systems (SAP, Ariba, DocuSign, etc.)Other :
