We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team and lead complex construction projects with a focus on Division of the State Architect (DSA) oversight. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction management, demonstrated expertise in DSA projects, and exceptional leadership abilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction operations, with a particular emphasis on DSA project delivery and compliance. This role requires a strategic approach to project management, strong technical capabilities, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Project Management and DSA Oversight
- Coordinate daily with Inspectors of Record (IOR)
- Develop and oversee testing and inspection programs
- Maintain comprehensive DSA documentation
- Facilitate field coordination with design team members
Delivery Method Leadership
Manage Design-Bid-Build projects, including submittal review and RFI processingOversee Lease-Leaseback projects, including GMP documentation and cost control measuresExecute CUPCCAA small projects with proper documentationCoordinate CMAS vendor relationships and verify scope complianceOperational Excellence
Direct construction operations and ensure adherence to quality standardsImplement and maintain project-specific safety programsEstablish and monitor quality control systemsSupervise and coordinate project teamsDevelop and maintain detailed project schedulesManage cost control systems and oversee progress paymentsHandle change order processes and documentationMaintain organized DSA documentation systemsREQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years of construction management experienceDemonstrated experience with DSA projects (minimum 5 years)Comprehensive knowledge of field operationsProven expertise in public works delivery methodsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)Advanced technical understanding of construction processes and methodologiesProven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teamsExcellence in written and verbal communicationMeticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilitiesAbility to drive processes and maintain systematic approachesCapacity to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
