B Mechanic - 3rd Shift - Washington, PA (onsite)
We are seeking a B - Mechanic for 3rd shift. The core hours are 11pm - 7am.
What you'll do :
This position is responsible for the maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of machinery used to produce commercial electrical products. Additionally, the Mechanic is required to prove competency in operation and repair of production equipment as assigned, including but not limited to the automated production lines, clampers, tappers, screwdrivers and power press.
- Effectively troubleshooting production line and other equipment
- Productively maintaining equipment and performance of the required day-to-day tasks focusing on safe use and operation of maintenance tools
- Assist in loading coils on to automated lines and performing welder, production line and equipment changeovers
- Daily press and equipment preventative maintenance and lubrication including power press inspections and safety
- Basic electrical tasks and electrical safety
- Perform hot work permit tasks (including welding, cutting, and brazing)
- Practice and promote a safe working environment including fire safety, fall protection, fall restraint, lifting systems safety, crane operations, and powered industrial lift truck operations
- Machine safeguarding and lock-out / tag-out authorized
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications :
Basic (Required) Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institutionA minimum of 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experienceKnowledge and experience working with hand toolsPreferred Qualifications :
Strong mechanical aptitude, with basic understanding of electrical systemsPosition Criteria :
Must be willing to work on any shift, including weekendsMust be willing to work overtime, including weekendsTeam player, willingness and ability to learn and progress in the trade
