Dohrn is currently seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic at our Centerville, MN terminal.
Hours :
- Dayshift Available - 4 Day Work Week!
- 6 : 00 AM start, Monday - Thursday
Pay : Up to $42.56 / Hour with incentives

Position Summary : To safely and efficiently maintain and repair Dohrn fleet.
Responsibilities
Oversee, delegate and schedule daily tasks for mechanicsEstimate job costs for major workOrder, ship & receive parts to maintain shop inventoriesCoordinate with Shop Operations Supervisors movement of units to other facilities for repairMaintain preventive maintenance schedule for domiciled equipmentReview & oversee record keeping functions for shop in computer systemCommunicate with office staff regarding various issues in shopTroubleshoot / repair diesel engines and componentsMaintain and control inventory levels in shopTrain new hires on shop functionsReact to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assignedWork independently with minimal supervisionOperate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defectsPreventive maintenance of equipmentDismantle and reassemble equipmentPlan work procedure using charges and experienceRepair, replace and adjust necessary units and partsEnter labor lines and parts into repair order computer systemMay travel to other company shop locations when staff is neededReact to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assignedQualifications
Minimum Requirements :
A minimum age of 18High School completion or equivalentValid Driver LicenseCommand of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customersMust pass a NON-Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen NOTE : CDL-qualified mechanics will be subject to a DOT physical examinationMust consent to a pre-employment drug screen; Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative resultExperience with forklift maintenance is preferredKnowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment is requiredMust have previous experience maintaining detailed and routine record keepingManual dexterity requiredMust possess knowledge of occupational hazards & standard safety precautionsMust possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to communicate to both internal and external customersAbility to work in a team as well as independentlyExcellent attendanceWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements :
