We are currently looking for a Full Time OTAP Counselor to join our Violence Prevention Services Program Team A team located at the 2016 TE ATA DRIVE.
Summary :
Performs individual adult intake, sessions and assessments and co-facilitates Own Violence, Take Responsibility, Act Responsibly Program (OTAP) batterer re-education group classes.
Responsibilities :
- Provides psycho-education to individuals identified by the court as batterers
- Co-facilitates OTAP (Own Violence, Take Responsibility, Act Responsibly Program) weekly classes
- Performs client intake and assessments, including Domestic Violence Inventory
- Compiles and completes documentation to maintain client records and reports to court systems, law enforcement, ICW, DHS and other systems as requested by client
- With leadership approval, may speak to internal and external groups to provide standard program information or to serve as a resource on topics approved by the Secretary of Family Services
- Promotes public awareness of services and programs available to victims / witnesses through community education and presentations
- Prepares monthly reports
- Seeks support from leadership when experiencing personal challenges impacting work performance
- Reports any unusual behavior, conflicts, or physical and mental health concerns to line of support
- Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner

- Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
