Position Description
Under moderate supervision, the Treasury & Reconciliation Clerk ensures the daily reconciliation of interface files from the Back Office System (BOS) to the subledger (SL) and the system of record. This role supports accurate financial operations by verifying daily transaction totals for all deposit type, ensuring a three-way match between RITE, the bank, and the CR batch, assisting with bank reconciliations, proposing corrections to the Senior Accountant, and preparing NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) packets, which are sent to Payment Processing for the timely removal of funds. The Treasury & Reconciliation Clerk also manages invoice reconciliation and prepares Treasury Module Macro files to ensure proper SL coding is entered into RITE. The role also includes reconciling and preparing American Express and First Data invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment.
The Treasury & Reconciliation Clerk must possess a basic understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail and accuracy, and effective communication skills to support the Harris County Toll Road Authority in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and achieving its reporting and operational goals.

Position Type and Typical Hours Work :
Typical hours are Monday through Friday in a full-time capacity, with exact hours varying based on departmental business needs.
Work Environment :
There are no major sources of discomfort. A normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature controls and furnishings is provided. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
