Responsibilities Hospital-based Operating Room setting Requires coverage of all surgical case types including general, bariatric, vascular, ENT, endoscopic, gynecology, neuro, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, podiatry, robotics, and urology Day shifts : 4x10 hours (7 : 00–15 : 30) 4 call shifts of 24 hours each per 13-week contract Ambulatory and General OR experience required Must provide care for a diverse range of patient diagnoses EPIC charting experience preferred Scrubs provided Expected to participate in all types of surgical procedures Must adhere to radiation and laser safety protocols Must follow universal time-out procedures and strict infection control measures Block scheduling and more than 5 days of time off will not be accommodated Orientation modules (approx. 4 hours) to be completed pre-start Returning travelers must not have worked at the health system within the past year Requirements Active NY RN license in hand at time of consideration Current BLS certification required Minimum of 3 years' OR RN experience Experience in bariatric, vascular, ENT, endoscopic, general, gynecology, neuro, ophthalmology, orthopedic, plastic, podiatry, robotics, and urologic surgery required Knowledge of emergency management, cell saver, blood product administration, infection control, laser and radiation safety, specimen handling, and universal protocol required Must be able to work all types of OR cases and not limited to a single specialty Epic experience preferred First-time travelers accepted only with 3 years of OR experience Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Candidates previously employed at the health system must have a gap of at least one year before returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629045.
