Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group
We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting full EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects in the power sector. This includes work on gas turbines, renewables, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and transmission systems, delivering complete construction packages or power generation islands up to 100 MW, and supporting data center operations.
What You'll Do
- Develop detailed design deliverables including :
Single-line diagrams
Motor elementary diagramsCable schedules (electrical & instrumentation)Material take-offs (MTOs)Grounding, lighting, lightning protection, and heat tracing systemsPerform engineering calculations to validate design integrityDesign and implement infrastructure systems for process control and monitoringConduct arc flash studies, grounding grid analysis, and relay coordinationPrepare construction packages and support field implementationEnsure designs meet client expectations, industry standards, and project specificationsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignmentProvide on-site startup and commissioning support as neededRecognize and communicate scope changes and design updates promptlyWhat You Bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited universityPE license preferred or actively working toward licensureMinimum of 7 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably in EPC environmentsProficiency with PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and field instrumentationStrong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., HART, Modbus, Profibus)Proficiency in electrical design software (ETAP, SKM Power Tools, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks)Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE, and other relevant codes and standardsAbility to produce efficient, constructible designs with attention to cost and scheduleExperience with EPC project workflows and documentation standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and teamwork skillsPhysical Requirements
