Senior Back End Software Engineer - Bank Technology

What You'll Do :

Lead a variety of technology initiatives, guiding a skilled team of developers well-versed in distributed microservices and full-stack systems to create solutions meeting our regulatory obligations.

Stay ahead of technology trends, explore emerging technologies, engage in technology communities, mentor fellow engineers, and occasionally contribute to coding or code evaluation.

Work closely with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially.

Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Go, and Scala, along with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree.

At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not count).

Minimum 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Preferred Qualifications :

Master's Degree.

7+ years of experience in at least one of the following languages : Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.

2+ years experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud platform.

4+ years of experience with open source frameworks.

1+ years of experience in people management.

2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role, based in McLean, VA, are $193,400 - $220,700 for Lead Software Engineer. Salary offers will vary based on the location of employment and will be detailed in the candidate's offer letter.

This role also includes eligibility for performance-based incentive compensation, which may consist of cash bonuses and / or long-term incentives. Incentives may be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
