Schedule: Monday to Friday (Day shift) may occasionally require evenings, weekends, and holidays supporting the plant production schedule.

WHAT WE WILL EXPECT FROM YOU Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow safety protocol
Physical Demands: - Must wear and maintain company required Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to: FR pants/ long-sleeve shirt, safety glasses, hard hat, safety-toe boots, hearing protection, and gloves
- Physically able to perform the following job essential functions, inclusive of but not limited to: crouching, kneeling, bending, walking long distances, lifting/pushing/pulling/carrying up to 50 pounds, work at heights, continuous work in confined spaces, ascend/ descend/ work from: stairs/ladders/scaffolding.
- Must have the ability to work continuously in an environment inclusive of but not limited to: dust, loud noise(s), walk on uneven or slippery surfaces, outdoors, heat/cold, poorly illuminated areas.
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies safely.
- Demonstrate strong organizational competencies and attention to detail.
- Manage priorities under pressure.
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or housekeeping is preferred.
Responsibilities: - Maintain cleanliness and organization plant and facility-wide, including production units, shared areas, and storage spaces.
- Assist in cleaning production units as directed by the production team ensuring all equipment and surfaces are free from debris and contaminants.
- Perform common cleaning activities including Milling building cleaning, Dryer yard cleaning, cyclones, wet cake pad cleaning, drums/totes, triple rinsing/labeling/capping/inventory for disposal.
- Clean based on housekeeping assessments completed by the management team and self-led inspections.
- Assist Maintenance Department in cleanup and job set up.
- Support the Production Team with setting up maintenance activities such as assisting with lockout-tagout, flushing equipment, prepping equipment for maintenance, setting up equipment to place back in operation, and assisting with water treatment, as needed.
- Dispose of waste materials following plant policies and environmental regulations.
- Perform routine inspections of plant areas to identify and address housekeeping issues promptly.
- Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with the Production Team to schedule and prioritize cleaning tasks to minimize disruption to production processes.
- Assist with pretreat operations, as needed, to include the belt press operation.
- Participate in painting projects during outages such as cleaning and painting guards and handrails.
- Operate the forklift to assist with moving materials and inspecting scaffolding.
- Report maintenance or repair needs to the proper personnel for resolution.
- Support plant operations as needed, including assisting with material handling and other production tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.

ABOUT US: South Bend Ethanol, LLC, is the most recent plant acquisition. As a global leader in the renewable energy industry, this will be Verbio's second US production facility following the successful commissioning of its Nevada, IA plant.
