The ideal candidate should be focused on quality, and be able to effectively partner with referring physicians, agencies and other professionals to provide optimum patient care within our award-winning integrated health care system. Baylor Scott and White (BSW) Divisions of Psychology and Gastroenterology (GI) at the Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) seek a qualified and motivated GI Psychologist to join our team as an inaugural member of the Functional Bowel Center. The center will provide integrative health care to patients with digestive disorders, focusing on the brain-gut connection, and will be a multispecialty enterprise offering team-based comprehensive digestive health care including clinicians, dieticians, physical therapists, and GI psychologists. Clinical research will be prioritized and conducted.

Schedule : Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 : 00am–5 : 00pm.

Qualifications
REQUIRED : Skill and experience in providing clinical psychological services to patients with chronic medical problems; proficiency in individual psychotherapy and group-based education and interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy, gut-directed hypnotherapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and related modalities; clinical and educational writing; knowledge of state and federal laws and legal requirements; PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-approved program or degrees in Counseling or Health Psychology; Texas license-eligibility and 1 year postdoc experience.
PREFERRED : Board certification or progress toward board certification; current active Texas Board of Psychology license; clinical experience treating GI disorders; outpatient medical clinic experience (primary or specialty care); interest in teaching, clinical development, and research; willingness to expand and develop new behavioral therapy skill sets.
