Job description

Responsibilities : Diagnose, install, repair, test, and calibrate a variety of advanced AC and DC electrical systems, including motor-starting circuits, AC magnetic circuits, pilot devices, pressure and limit switches, and solenoid valves. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment. Support operator training on basic maintenance tasks to enhance equipment up time. Assist operators with troubleshooting machine issues to resolve quality concerns and reduce downtime. Analyze repair trends and recurring equipment issues, implementing corrective actions to eliminate repeat failures. Install new machinery and perform upgrades or modifications to existing equipment. Identify, source, and order required parts, support management of spare parts inventory. Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment updates. Promote and model safe work practices, including proper use of LOTO procedures, PPE, and elevated work safety. Qualifications : Required : High School Diploma required; a certificate, degree, or apprenticeship in electrical or electronics fields is strongly preferred. Minimum of 2 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of 480V 3-phase power systems. Experience with mechanical power transmission, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics. Fork truck operation and rigging experience. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Customer service mindset, recognizing the entire facility as internal customers. High attention to detail and a preference for maintaining organization and order. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able to distinguish colors. Preferred : Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70). Understanding of NFPA electrical standards for industrial machinery. Basic experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting. Foundational knowledge of RSLogix 500 and RSLogix 5000 software. Possession of a North Carolina electrical license. Working Conditions : Standard 8-hour Mon-Fri schedule with some flexibility in hours. Work primarily performed on the plant floor with occasional office and computer-based tasks. Ability to work in varying conditions, including hot / cold temperatures, wet areas, elevated or confined spaces, and extended periods of standing or walking on uneven surfaces. Physical requirements include lifting, reaching, holding, pushing, pulling, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, and other forms of physical mobility. Exposure to noise and certain chemical products; appropriate PPE is provided. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
