Group Summary

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities

• Use value stream mapping for the manufacturing process inside the facility.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend improvements to operational processes, procedures and equipment and supporting analysis.
• Help lead the T.E.A.M. systems 5S implementation and assist in training employees on the 5S principals.
• Continually improve the manufacturing process efficiencies to reduce production costs.
• Facilitate Continuous Improvement events to eliminate waste and add value for the customer.
• Coordinate Lean Thinker process flow and collect and distribute data throughout the teams.
• Prepare various reports and presentations for all audience levels.
• Research and develop new manufacturing techniques and processes.
• Drive the MAFACT culture through internal audits maintaining follow-up on open issues.
• Serve as the division's MAFACT lead and support all internal and external MAFACT requirements.
• Collect monthly data supporting WCM processes and corporate KPI's, present charts to senior management.
• Manage the master layout in AutoCAD; proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Perform line balance evaluations and create replenishment routes.
• This position requires up to 10% travel.
