We have an outstanding Contract position for a Product Shipping / Receiving Clerk to join a leading Company located in the Vista, CA surrounding area.Pay Rate : $21 - $22

• US Citizenship is required.
• Responsibilities :
• Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
• Uses a computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting.
• Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules, and requirements.
• Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
• (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
• Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges; and routes merchandise to destinations.
• Performs non-routine tasks which may involve some use of judgment and initiative in the shipping and receiving of materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Under general supervision, prepares a record of goods shipped and received and bill of lading, posts weights and shipping charges, and maintains shipping record files.
• May operate a forklift and prepare goods for final shipment.
• Under limited supervision.
• Receives some instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments.
• Uses professional concepts to solve a variety of problems.
• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, where limited judgment is required.
• Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
• Decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules.
• Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups, and internal and external customers.
• Interaction normally involves the exchange or presentation of factual information.
• May serve in a lead role and train others.
• Having some knowledge and experience, able to handle unusual job events.
• Choice of action requires more than common sense in that some training and experience are needed before knowing what to do under special circumstances.
• Above-average communication skills.
