Accounting Clerk

Our client in Hampton, GA, has an immediate need for an Accounting Clerk to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role is perfect for someone with strong Accounts Payable experience and the ability to support various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist the Accounts Payable team with invoice processing and auditing against purchase orders and shipping documents.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare customer invoices and manage collections.
• Handle large data files related to customer invoicing, commission calculations, and vendor accounts payable.
• Cross-train and serve as backup for invoicing, accounts payable, cash receipts, and sales tax functions.
• Adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and unexpected events.
• Provide support for the A / P coordinator and assist with receptionist duties as needed.
• Assist with ad hoc requests from the finance team.
