PCU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Wichita, Kansas (67214) Unit : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Step-Down Unit Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,570 - $1,680 Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 EMR : Meditech PCU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, or acute care setting Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring NIH Stroke Scale certification required Experience with Meditech EMR preferred Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills PCU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU / step-down patients (nurse-to-patient ratio 1 : 4) Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians Document patient care and progress accurately in Meditech EMR Educate patients and families on care plans, health management, and recovery Promote a positive, team-oriented clinical environment Experience the best of Wichita, KS (67214), with access to local parks, cultural attractions, and a thriving downtown during your travel nursing assignment.
