Compensation Range: $20.29 - $27.53

The referenced pay range represents the first and last step pay rates for this job, as set forth in the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Individual pay will be set in accordance with terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

Requires all around knowledge, experience and skill over and above that set forth in the job description for the basic job, or jobs, involved. Performs duties as set forth in the basic job description in addition to acting in the capacity of "instructor", "trouble shooter", "specialist", or similar categories. Usually is responsible to the Department Supervisor for the quantity and quality of the work of others in the group. An element of leadership is necessary for effective guidance of others, but not to the extent usually associated with the jobs of SUPERVISORY level. Hiring, disciplining, promoting and firing are not contemplated within the scope of this classification. He or she may participate and assist in performance ratings of other employees in the group.

Machines and Equipment Used

• Automobile, light duty truck, minibus (10 seats or less) and/or other equipment as may be required on the job.

Typical Duties

• Drives automobile, minibus, or light duty truck.
• Transports persons and/or loads, hauls and delivers supplies, equipment, lab tests, mail and freight.
• Maintains and may perform minor repair work on vehicles.
• May keep special forms or records of vehicle trips, mileage, gas, repairs, etc., and summarize into periodic reports.
• Assists in receiving and shipping areas when requested and performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications

• Requires the ability to read, write and perform arithmetic, a safe driving record, a driver's license, and 2 or more years of relevant driving experience.
