Lumpkin County Schools is now accepting applications for a special education teacher.
The teacher will be expected to provide special education services to students with disabilities in various settings and through various service models. Special Education General Curriculum certification is required, and Special Education Adapted Curriculum certification is also preferred.
Responsible for planning and delivering tailored instruction that addresses communication, behavioral, social, life skills, and academic goals for students with disabilities, with a focus on those on the Autism spectrum. The role also oversees program success by managing paraprofessionals, implementing and updating IEPs, and communicating effectively with parents, students, staff, and administrators.
