LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Urgent Care MD in Denver, Colorado, 80210!

About The Position

An Urgent Care facility in Colorado is seeking a skilled Urgent Care Physician for a locum tenens assignment starting September 1, 2025, for 36 days. The schedule varies by day of the week, offering extended hours to meet patient needs.

Provider Type Needed : Physician (Urgent Care)

Schedule :

  • Monday - Friday : 8 AM - 8 PM
  • Saturday : 8 AM - 7 PM
  • Sunday : 8 AM - 5 PM

Job Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Provide comprehensive urgent care services
  • Perform laceration closures and incision and drainage (I&D) procedures
  • Interpret X-rays and EKGs
  • Manage work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Conduct DOT physicals (certification a plus)
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
  • Utilize Practice Velocity EMR for patient management and record-keeping
  • Collaborate with urgent care staff and refer to specialists when necessary
  • Ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
  • Communicate effectively with patients about diagnoses and treatment plans

    • Additional Information :

  • Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine required
  • Comfort with minor procedures such as laceration repair and I&D essential
  • Ability to read and interpret X-rays and EKGs independently
  • Workers' compensation experience preferred
  • DOT certification beneficial
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to manage diverse patient presentations
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends
