General Description

The anticipated start date for this position is August 2026. Pay for this position is based on a 9-month contract working fall and spring semesters. Teaching location and hours are subject to change during employment with WCJC to meet department / division needs to ensure student success.

The permanent responsibility of a faculty member is to provide the most effective instruction possible in his / her discipline. Supervision is received from appropriate supervisor. The faculty member works to insure that his / her instruction is meeting the educational needs of students.

Requirements

This position requires a minimum of master's degree in Physics or other discipline and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Physics from a regionally accredited institution. This position is required to meet minimum requirements for teaching at the post-secondary level set by the Southern Association of colleges and Schools, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and accrediting agencies for individual programs if applicable. A criminal background check is required.
