We are looking for a dedicated Case Manager / Pre-Litigation Paralegal to support our expanding personal injury department. Under the supervision of an attorney, the case manager will oversee cases from intake through settlement during the pre-litigation phase, playing a crucial role in achieving successful outcomes and ensuring our clients receive the justice they deserve. Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the intake process for new cases, ensuring all necessary information and documentation are collected accurately and efficiently.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, assisting in gathering medical records, lien details, and lost wage documentation.
- Oversee client medical treatment, including issuing letters of protection, obtaining necessary approvals, and coordinating triage options to support their recovery.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing parties, and third-party vendors to facilitate case progress.
- Prepare and submit Personal Injury Protection (PIP) demands in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work closely with the medical records clerk to ensure all relevant records are requested, received, and properly organized for case evaluation.
- Conduct comprehensive case reviews to determine readiness for demand preparation and settlement negotiations.
- Keep clients informed and provide regular updates on case progress, addressing any concerns and ensuring they are well-informed until the case transitions to litigation.
- Assist attorneys in preparing case files for settlement discussions, mediations, and pre-litigation negotiations.
- Track case deadlines and ensure compliance with all procedural and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential case issues and provide proactive solutions to ensure smooth case management and successful client outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and organized case documentation within the firms case management system.
Qualifications :
Proficient understanding of Federal and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, CM / ECF, and Texas E-Filing systems.Minimum of 3 years of experience managing personal injury cases, with a strong understanding of client treatment coordination, the claims process, and medical record review.Ability to work independently while efficiently managing multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely case progression.Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and attorneys.Proficiency in legal software and case management systems; experience with Clio is a plus.Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze medical records and settlement documentation accurately.A proactive and positive team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving client-centered outcomes.Friendly and empathetic demeanor with patience and professionalism when engaging with clients.Bilingual in Spanish is preferred .Compensation and Benefits :
