Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in Occupational Health or related field
- Proficiency in Occupational Health practices and procedures
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) is a plus
ResponsibilitiesHealth Assessments and Screenings
Conduct pre-employment, annual, and job-specific health assessmentsPerform various health screenings, including vision tests, audiometry, and spirometryAdminister drug and alcohol screenings as per company policyEvaluate employees' fitness for duty and provide recommendationsInjury and Illness Management
Provide immediate care for work-related injuries and illnessesAssess and triage occupational injuries and illnessesDevelop and implement treatment plans for minor injuriesCoordinate referrals to specialists or emergency services when necessaryManage workers' compensation cases and maintain accurate documentationHealth Education and Promotion
Develop and deliver health education programs for employeesConduct training sessions on various health and safety topicsPromote wellness initiatives and encourage healthy lifestyle choicesProvide one-on-one counseling on health-related mattersWorkplace Safety
Participate in workplace safety inspections and risk assessmentsIdentify potential health hazards and recommend preventive measuresCollaborate with safety teams to develop and implement safety protocolsEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policiesCase Management
Manage return-to-work programs for injured or ill employeesCoordinate with healthcare providers, HR, and management on employee casesMonitor and evaluate the progress of employees under medical careDevelop modified duty plans to facilitate safe return to workRecord Keeping and Reporting
