Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,146 per week at Schneck Medical Center summary :

The Travel Nurse RN specializes in Medical Surgical Nursing, responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and conducting comprehensive assessments. They float between the Adult medical and surgical units, using various medical equipment and adhering to strict procedural guidelines. The position requires a current Indiana RN License and a minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience.

  • Current IN RN License

Job Details

  • General job duties include Medical Surgical Nursing, scanning and administering medications, vital signs monitoring, head-to-toe assessments, IVs, blood administration, and isolation procedures.
  • Equipment utilized includes telemetry, POC, vital signs monitors (Phillips), vein viewers, medical supplies, bladder scanner, and Meditech charting.
  • Floating between the Adult medical unit and Adult surgical unit (2N / 3N) is required.

    • Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Medical Surgical Nursing is required.
  • Current Indiana RN License is required.

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Dress Code : Any color scrubs, no blue jean material, needs to be neat and clean, closed toe and heel shoes, only earrings allowed, long hair must be pulled back out of face.
  • Orientation will be handled on the unit with hands-on training with a preceptor.

    • Additional Details

  • Does candidate require time off during assignment? If yes, please list in comments.
  • BLS Card is required.
  • ACLS preferred but not mandatory.
