Material Handler I

Summary

A  Material Handler I job is available in Sacramento, Californiaat Milgard Windows and Doors. You should have prior experience in a warehouse environment loading trucks with the ability to lift 50 pounds. Prior Forklift experience is required, along with the ability to be certified in-house. Milgard Windows & Doors is the leading manufacturer of windows and doors in the Western United States with operations in Washington, Oregon, and California. Milgard was recently acquired by MI Windows & Doors, which creates additional opportunities for growth and synergies between these two industry leaders.

Location : Sacramento, CA

Company : Milgard Windows and Doors (Part of MITER Brands)

Shift : Monday–Friday, 2 : 30 PM start time (Overtime required), occasional Saturdays

Pay : $25.00 / hour + $1.00 / hour shift differential

Responsibilities

• Perform departmental activities per standard operating procedures.
• Unload trucks and place in the staging area.
• Receive raw material and verify against the packing slip. Label materials accurately.
• Supply material as needed and / or requested to the production line and other departments.
• Assist in preparation for and completion of cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Keep all parts in the area of responsibility adequately stocked at all times.
• Communicate to supervisor or Purchasing Department when materials / supplies are running low.
• Remove waste from production lines. Weigh and record waste.
• Deliver non-inventory items to all areas of the organization.
• Process defective or discrepant material.
• Proper usage of personal protective equipment.
