Job descriptionBe the face of SST on the ground, supporting safety operations and driving success in partnership with the client. Position Overview As a Safety Specialist, you will support day-to-day safety operations in the field, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety standards. This role plays a key part in promoting a positive safety culture and providing guidance to field crews and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments Assist crews with Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and safety planning Provide hands-on coaching and guidance to ensure safe work practices Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting Support onboarding and ongoing safety training for field personnel Help develop and reinforce company safety initiatives Qualifications Five (5) years in construction safety, working in construction environments OSHA 30 Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to identify hazards and recommend practical solutions Experience with field incident investigations Ability to lift up to 50 lbs INDH Powered by JazzHR
