Position Summary

The Onsite Support Technician - I works closely with their manager, internal teams, manufacturers, and customers to support, operate, and maintain audiovisual (AV) and IT systems at client locations. A background in audio, video, control systems, computers, and networking is essential. The role requires attention to detail, punctuality, effective communication, and technical expertise to support complex AV systems.

Requirements

  • High School or GED diploma
  • Ability to lift 30-40 pounds
  • Mechanical ability to use tools like screwdrivers and drills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort working independently and maintaining a professional appearance at client sites
  • Flexibility to work occasional schedule changes, including holidays and weekends
  • Organized, proactive, good problem-solver with a positive attitude
  • Bondable, trustworthy, dependable with strong attention to detail
  • Availability to work 8AM-8PM Thursdays to Sundays, including holidays
  • Responsibilities

  • Provide AV support for meetings and conferences, including setup, operation, and teardown
  • Coordinate AV resources for client events and last-minute requests
  • Perform troubleshooting, testing, repairs, and adjustments on AV / IT systems
  • Diagnose and resolve control system issues, including remote support
  • Document repairs and troubleshooting outcomes
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on AV equipment
  • Review support tickets, client requests, and support histories with staff
  • Maintain clean and safe workspaces
  • Keep accurate reports, logs, timesheets, and inventory
  • Follow safety regulations and company policies
