Position Summary
The Onsite Support Technician - I works closely with their manager, internal teams, manufacturers, and customers to support, operate, and maintain audiovisual (AV) and IT systems at client locations. A background in audio, video, control systems, computers, and networking is essential. The role requires attention to detail, punctuality, effective communication, and technical expertise to support complex AV systems.
Requirements
High School or GED diplomaAbility to lift 30-40 poundsMechanical ability to use tools like screwdrivers and drillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsComfort working independently and maintaining a professional appearance at client sitesFlexibility to work occasional schedule changes, including holidays and weekendsOrganized, proactive, good problem-solver with a positive attitudeBondable, trustworthy, dependable with strong attention to detailAvailability to work 8AM-8PM Thursdays to Sundays, including holidaysResponsibilities
Provide AV support for meetings and conferences, including setup, operation, and teardownCoordinate AV resources for client events and last-minute requestsPerform troubleshooting, testing, repairs, and adjustments on AV / IT systemsDiagnose and resolve control system issues, including remote supportDocument repairs and troubleshooting outcomesConduct preventive maintenance on AV equipmentReview support tickets, client requests, and support histories with staffMaintain clean and safe workspacesKeep accurate reports, logs, timesheets, and inventoryFollow safety regulations and company policiesAvidex is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
