Job description

We’re Hiring : Sheet Metal Mechanics (Entry to Foreman) – Build the System, Build Your Future

Location : Norristown, PA (Field-Based Role) | Pay Range : $15–$55 / hour | Full-Time

Company Overview :

At Commercial Kitchen Ventilation , we design and install commercial exhaust systems that keep restaurants, hospitals, and schools safe, compliant, and running strong. This isn’t duct slapped together in a warehouse. This is field-built, code-tight metalwork — and it takes a team that moves with speed, precision, and pride.

We run lean. We move fast. And we expect every person on the crew to carry their weight and then some. If you’ve got the work ethic and the mindset, we’ve got the path.

Position Summary :

We’re hiring Sheet Metal Mechanics at all levels — from green helpers to field leaders. Whether you’re just starting out or running complex jobs with multiple crews, you’ll be part of a tight team that values skill, hustle, and execution. You’ll install kitchen exhaust hoods, ductwork, fans, curbs, and support systems for real projects that require real accountability.

We break it down like this :

Entry-Level ($15–$20 / hr) : New to the trade. You’ll learn tools, safety, and fundamentals. We’ll train you — if you show up ready.

  • Level 1 ($21–$25 / hr) : Under 2 years in a relevant trade. You’ve got some experience and want to grow fast. Still learning. Still proving.

Level 2 ($26–$33 / hr) : 2–4 years experience in sheet metal or HVAC. You can read basic drawings, move efficiently, and push the job forward.

Level 3 ($34–$45 / hr) : 4–6 years in the field. You know the trade, guide others, and take ownership of scopes. You lead from the floor.

Level 4 Foreman ($46–$55 / hr) : 8+ years experience. You run the job, build the plan, coordinate crews, and own the result — all of it.

What You’ll Do (Based on Level) :

Install kitchen hoods, duct, fans, and curbs

Read plans and work orders, prep materials, and get ahead of the game

Work on rooftops, ladders, and lifts — safely and confidently

Train up (or lead down) depending on where you are

Own your part of the job — every day, every task

What You’ll Bring :

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver’s license

Mechanical awareness, tool skills, and work ethic

Physical readiness to lift, climb, carry, and hustle

Relevant field experience (depending on level)

Confidence without ego — speak up when it matters, stay coachable when it counts

Pay & Benefits :

Competitive pay based on level : $18–$42 / hour

Health Insurance + Retirement Plan

Paid Holidays + PTO

Real training, fast advancement, and no ceiling for high performers

Zero-fluff culture — just a strong team and clear expectations

Physical Requirements & Work Environment :

This is field work. You’ll lift 50+ lbs regularly. Work in the heat. Climb ladders. Use power tools. Work on rooftops. And you’ll do it all with focus, safety, and urgency — or you won’t be here long.

This Is Where the Pros Are Made

If you want to learn, lead, and build things that actually matter — this is where you do it! If you just want to show up and slide by, do us both a favor and keep scrolling.

Commercial Kitchen Ventilation is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We hire based on mindset, follow-through, and grit. If you’ve got it, you’re welcome here.
