Our PE back client is looking for a VP of Finance to work hand in hand with the CEO on strategy and planning. This role is responsible for the FP&A function and manages an accounting team. This company is experiencing fast growth via acquisitions and organically and is looking for an entrepreneurial leader!
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and lead financial / business improvement and value creation initiatives.
- Champion the annual budgeting process and align management’s interim business objectives with the long-term strategy of the business.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to proactively manage performance, analyze variances, and develop & drive gap closing and / or acceleration plans in a timely and focused manner.
- Leverage technology and continuously improve business processes to enable more robust business intelligence analytics and data based decision making.
- Lead and manage the Back Office function and team including IT & HR and develop a high performance team with passion & professionalism and consistent with our company values & culture.
- Develop and lead all financial functions and ensure timely and accurate financial forecasting and reporting of financial results to senior management, the Board of Directors, and lenders.
- Design and prepare an effective monthly reporting package that provides key financial and KPI information to other management and the Board of Directors.
- Maintain rigorous internal control procedures which assure protection of company assets. Monitor and regulate spending, including capital investments to ensure bank covenants, liquidity, and financial forecasts are achieved. Experience with ABL lending & credit agreements desired.
- Support material procurement leader by analyzing vendor relationships and by defining market leading commercial terms for new and existing supply partners.
- Provide the leadership to ensure the building of, and continued professional development and acquisition of the organization, including career and succession planning.
Qualifications :
FP&A and accounting experience and an operational orientation.Strategic Doer who can contribute thought leadership and also work hands-on with the team on key priorities and projects to execute impeccably.Business Partner for the CEO, Board, and leadership team to contribute strongly to strategy development, budgeting & forecast, performance management, business development, and special projects.Proactive and strong leader who can lead and develop the Back Office effectively and efficiently.Experience with a PE backed lower middle market business, management team, and value creation viewed as a plus.Experience in a retail or distribution business with inventory management is preferred.Strong interpersonal, team building, and strategically focused leadership skills.Must be a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of monitoring the financial systems and controls and making the necessary changes to upgrade systems and policies and procedures. Having gone thru a systems implementation is a plus.Continuous improvements based on a data driven approach.Strong entrepreneurial spirit, drive, and desire. Able to manage thru ambiguity well.Experience leading financial due diligence and merger integration planning and execution is a plus.Bachelor’s degree required; MBA and / or CPA preferred.Compensation :
$200 - $225k + bonus + equity
