We’re seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee payroll, benefits administration, compliance, HRIS, and HR reporting and analysis .
Working alongside the Chief Human Resources Officer, this position leads three HR team members and serves as a subject matter expert in government and benefits compliance and reporting.

The role manages HR systems, benefits administration, payroll processing, HR analytics, and reporting functions — while fostering a culture of professionalism and collaboration.
Schedule :
- Monday – Friday, Full-Time, Exempt Location : Fairfax, VA Essential Functions Promotes a culture of kindness, professionalism, confidentiality, responsiveness, and congeniality.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as payroll and benefits regulations (FLSA, DOL, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, EEO, OSHA, etc.).
- Manage and oversee payroll process using ADP Workforce Now , including salary changes, W-2 administration, tax setup, and profit-sharing calculations.
- Participate in 401(k) plan administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing of deferrals, contributions, and loan repayments.
- Manage the administration of employee benefits, including invoice reconciliation, Open Enrollment, and coordination with brokers and vendors.
- Oversee HR system administration for ADP Workforce Now , CultureAmp , and LinkedIn Learning to optimize reporting and user experience.
- Prepare, reconcile, and analyze HR and payroll-related accounts, including 401(k), FSA, HSA, and benefits premiums.
- Develop and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and reports to support data-driven decision-making and the HR Balanced Scorecard.
- Lead, coach, and develop two payroll specialists and one benefits administrator.
- Coordinate annual compliance filings and audits (EEO-1, Form 5500, ACA, PCORI, OSHA 300A, MLR rebate allocations, etc.).
- Deliver and oversee training including new-hire orientation, benefits education, and manager training.
- Support HR initiatives such as employee relations, communications, events, and special projects.
- Administer Workers’ Compensation insurance and serve as HR’s lead contact for related claims.
- Support Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and other organizational initiatives as assigned.
- Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of HR experience , or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Advanced, hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (highly preferred).
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate professionalism, and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
