Description :

York Building Products is seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our Masonry team on 2nd shift . In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of block manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain block machines and related batching, handling, and packaging equipment.
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to meet production goals.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Inspect finished and in-process products, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.

Requirements :

  • Willingness to learn and be trained.
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and follow safety procedures.
  • Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is a plus.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons.

    • Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Willingness to work from 3 : 30PM to 1 : 30AM Monday through Friday and on Saturdays as needed.
  • Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to operate heavy equipment and machinery as needed.
  • Physical demands include walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
