The Career :

Are you a skilled CNC Operator with a strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment? QA1 is looking for a talented individual to join our 2nd Shift team in Lakeville, MN. In this role, you will operate CNC machines, perform quality checks, and ensure the highest standards of precision and safety in every part you produce. If you have a track record of reliability, safety consciousness, and quality-driven work, we want to hear from you!

What You Will Do :

  • Operate CNC machines and ensure efficient machine operation.
  • Change tooling and perform offset adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure high-quality production.
  • Input accurate part count and transaction values into the job sequence.
  • Follow job orders and instructions for preparation and setup.
  • Verify the accuracy of machined parts using inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Load bar stock and tubing, and add coolant to machines.
  • Remove burrs or excess metal from finished parts.
  • Complete production paperwork and ensure quality compliance.
  • Perform regular maintenance on equipment and tools.
  • Performs regular daily maintenance on equipment and keeps work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
  • Troubleshoot and report discrepancies or malfunctions to management.
  • Other duties as beneficial to the success of QA1.

The Critical Skills and Experience You’ll Need :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1-year in similar capacity or successful completion of formal CNC training program. CMM experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of machine controls, configuration, and capacity.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Person people want to work with.
  • Positive attitude, reliable attendance with excellent work ethic.
  • Basic math, reading and English communication skills.
  • Comfortable with team interaction or alone under busy conditions with minimal supervision.
  • Must be available and open to the idea of cross training + learning.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including extended standing 8-10 hours a day with occasionally lifting and / or moving up to 60 lbs.
