We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-driven Executive Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping and Laundry Departments with passion, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
Job Summary
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments for the Elevation Convening Center and Hotel, Elevation Fitness, and The Goldthwaite House. This leadership role guides all housekeeping and laundry functions, including guest rooms, public areas in both the front and back of house, and all laundry services. The Executive Housekeeper ensures that every space reflects the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and care, creating a welcoming environment that enhances every guest experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of housekeeping operations which include but are not limited to scheduling, training, and hiring. Conducting pre-shift huddles and monthly departmental meetings.
- Monitors performance to ensure that the staff adheres to our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures that team members follow all hotel policies and procedures.
- Approaches all encounters with guests and fellow associates in a hospitable and service-oriented manner.
- Responsible for increasing guest satisfaction and room cleanliness scores.
- Monitor KYC and guest feedback to track housekeeping-related complaints, identify trends, and ensure issues are promptly addressed, resolved, and prevented in the future.
- Oversees and monitors housekeeping budget, inventory, payroll, and labor costs.
- Monitors and directs all housekeeping and laundry supervisors.
- Establishes and maintains a key control system for housekeepers.
- Conducts 30/60/90 day and annual associate performance appraisals.
- Participates in MOD coverage as needed.
- Performs monthly walkthroughs with General Manager, Director of Operations and Engineering.
- Executes emergency procedures following hotel standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience in hotel and housekeeping operations.
- Knowledge of housekeeping software and systems.
- Customer service-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a housekeeping management role.
hysical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
