Job Description

The Global Account Director – Luxury Segment is responsible for developing and executing the global sales strategy for the luxury leisure segment across the Minor Hotels portfolio. This role will lead strategic relationships with high-end travel partners (including Virtuoso, Signature and more), drive revenue growth in key source markets, and position Minor’s luxury brands as top-of-mind for premium travelers.

  • Educate and build brand awareness within the US market.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global sales strategy for the luxury leisure segment aligned with overall commercial goals.
  • Lead luxury preferred partnership negotiations globally from the North American market.
  • Understand the business needs and booking patterns for the individual properties and deliver qualified demand to secure budget objectives.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with luxury travel consortia, tour operators, luxury agencies, and wholesalers.
  • Identify key internal and external sources of information to detect and understand market trends.
  • Build and deploy an annual action plan in coordination with the property sales team focusing on :

Roadshows and Flythroughs

  • Customer FAM Trips
  • Industry Event Tradeshows
  • Agency Presentations
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to ensure alignment in luxury customer engagement.
  • Partner with Marketing, PR, Revenue, and Operations teams to drive integrated luxury campaigns and promotions.
  • Act as a brand ambassador internally and externally, championing the unique selling points of the Anantara, Elewna, Tivoli, and other luxury brands.
  • Monitor monthly results; implement timely adjustments to maximize revenues and profits.
  • Update commercial CRM with all the activities planned and executed.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines and submitting reports in a timely manner.
  • Qualifications

  • The candidate must have minimum 7 - 10 years of sales experience in luxury hospitality sales, with a strong focus on the leisure segment.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behaviors and network within North American luxury travel industry – notably Consortia and Agency environment.
  • Expert in outbound business and a thorough understanding of sales practices, methodologies and customer buying patterns and channels.
  • Established experience, and reputation with a Global Strategic Vision.
  • Sales focused, results oriented and proactive style with excellent presentation skills.
  • Global mindset with the ability to see the “big picture” of the Company needs, Global trends, and Competitive environment.
  • Excellent communications capabilities, and negotiation skills, while developing effective collaborative methods with clients, industry partners and internal company teams.
  • Ability to analyze data, business performance and reporting
  • Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving competencies
  • Degree level - preferably in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management. Value given to post graduate qualifications.
  • Eagerness and desire to work in a multinational environment within the travel industry in a high sale driven role.
  • Experience working with international teams.
  • MS Office, Advanced Excel, Advanced PowerPoint, SAP.
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Other languages are an advantage.
  • The position requires flexibility to travel internationally up to 40–50% of the time.
