Description

Analyze abstracts of title, legal documents, and public records to assess and verify the status of title for commercial properties.

Prepare thorough and accurate title commitments in alignment with company policies and underwriter standards.

Investigate and resolve title-related issues such as liens, encumbrances, and discrepancies in ownership.

Review attorney title opinions and Form 900s to generate Iowa Title Guaranty commitments and final certificates.

Skills

land surveying, title documentation, commercial real estate, legal document, document processing, public records, underwriting, title insurance

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• experience within Register of Deeds or accessors is preferred
• Abstractor's title - preferred
• Examiner experience - preferred
• individual with strong attention to detail
• must be self-motivated and work independently
• will have little public face to face interaction - must be comfortable at a desk all day

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00 / hr.
