Western Specialty Contractors is expanding our Roofing team in Houston, TX. For this role, we are looking for a hands-on leader with 10+ years of experience in commercial, low-slope roofing. Pay is dependent on experience and ranges from $25-$30 per hour.

As a Foreman, you will :

  • Identify existing and predictable hazards to work surroundings, including working conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous to employees.
  • Communicate effectively to supervise employees and maintain customer relations.
  • Identify and investigate leaks, and lead and carry out patching and repair projects in all types of commercial roofs.
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds.
  • Oversee and maintain company safety requirements.
  • Other tasks as required based on business need.

Requirements

  • Must be able to demonstrate sufficient reading, writing and math skills to comprehend and explain company safety policies and material instruction.
  • The ability to read drawings is necessary.
  • Physically, workers must be able to : Stand or walk for long periods; lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds or more; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment; and see (naturally or with correction).
  • Ability to work at heights, at extreme temperatures, and to wear company's safety equipment is essential.
  • Experience with crew leadership and professional communication with customers.
  • Must have commercial roofing experience.
  • Proficient with leak investigations / roofing patch and repairs in all types of commercial roofs, to include :
  • TPO
  • PVC
  • Asphalt BUR / Gravel
  • EPDM
  • Cold Process
  • Fluid Applied
  • Etc.
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Data Forma, and Edge platforms preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation and pass a drug screening
