Position Title : Quality Control Technician

Location : Prestressed Concrete, Newton, KS

Minimum Age Requirement : 18 years old

Position Type : Full-Time, Mid-Level

Description :

As a Quality Control Technician at Prestressed Concrete, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our concrete products. Building upon the foundational skills developed as a Quality Control Technician 1, this mid-level position requires approximately 1-3 years of experience and an ACI certification. You will be responsible for overseeing more complex quality control tasks, mentoring entry-level technicians, and contributing to process improvements. This role offers opportunities for advancement to the Quality Control Technician 3 and Quality Control Manager positions.

Responsibilities :

• Perform advanced quality control inspections and tests on concrete samples, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
• Supervise and mentor Quality Control Technician 1 staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and development.
• Review and validate the accuracy of measurements, calculations, and blueprints used by the bed crew.
• Lead the evaluation of concrete mix designs and ensure consistency with project requirements and specifications.
• Develop and implement process improvements based on quality control data and feedback.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex quality issues, working with senior technicians and management to resolve them.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of quality control activities and prepare reports for management review.
• Assist in training and onboarding new Quality Control Technicians, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.
