Title : Communications Manager
Reports to : Senior Director, Communications

Position Overview :
The Communications Manager will work to coordinate and collaborate with the Commonwealth's reporters and producers across print, television, and radio. In order to help build awareness of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce's initiatives and impact, the manager will help to broaden the overall reach of the Chamber's strategic messaging. With a broad range of responsibilities, including working with press and media, as well as stakeholders in the business community, this position is designed for someone who is interested in the region's business climate, as well as public policy issues.
In this role, the Communications Manager will not only coordinate with press and media, but they will also work internally across Chamber departments. The manager will help to manage the press database, respond to media inquiries, draft releases, and assist with special projects as assigned.

Salary : $65,000 - $77,000

Physical Requirements :
This is a sedentary job by nature but does require travel. Requires being able to sit at a desk and use a computer and phone for most of the day. When traveling, an employee must be mobile enough to get around events and assist with set up and breakdown including lifting 25lbs or more. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
