Schwabs AI Strategy & Transformation team, known as AI.x, is the central hub for Artificial Intelligence at Schwab. We are an integrated product, engineering, strategy and risk team, all based in San Francisco. We help set the enterprise vision for AI, invest in the most promising opportunities, and accelerate delivery across the company. We also build the core platform that powers AI at scale and explore next-generation GenAI efforts that will redefine how we serve our clients. As an AI Engineer on AI.x, you will play an important role in bringing these priorities to life by designing and delivering innovative AI solutions.

As an AI Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of GenAI applications that enhance client experience and create business value. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and business leaders to ensure solutions align with Schwabs enterprise strategy. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior engineers, participate in technical discussions, and help to build strong engineering practices while fostering a culture of continuous learning. You will work on solving complex technical challenges, support best engineering standards, and help drive iterations from concept to production. Above all, you will bring curiosity, creativity, and technical skill to help shape the next generation of AI at Schwab.

What you have

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience and 1+ year of experience as a hands-on engineer in startups and / or large organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of experience building products and supporting them in production environments.
• 1+ year of experience developing applications that use Artificial Intelligence (AI) models to deliver business impact.
• 1+ year of experience working with applications or data pipelines that interface with large datasets.
• 1+ year of experience with containers and cloud-native applications, with exposure to deploying them in the public cloud using infrastructure as code.

Preferred Qualifications
