About the Role

The Company is looking for a passionate and experienced Vice President of Risk Management to spearhead the creation and implementation of comprehensive risk strategies that resonate with our credit culture and overall business goals. This key position encompasses three primary responsibilities : overseeing credit culture and decision-making, designing and evaluating tax credit allocations and investments, and leading enterprise risk management initiatives. As a pivotal member of our team, the successful candidate will ensure that our risk management practices consistently align with our mission to foster inclusive access to capital. You will lead a dedicated team in managing credit, tax credit, and enterprise risks.

To be successful in this role, you should possess a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the finance industry, with a strong preference for candidates with CDFI or community development financial institution backgrounds. A Bachelor's degree is required, while an advanced financial management degree is preferred. We seek a candidate with a proven record of executive leadership, proficiency in designing innovative credit programs, and expertise in risk management within a regulated financial setting. Strong analytical, credit, and risk management skills are essential, along with the ability to balance risk considerations with the organization's impactful goals.

This role demands a proactive leader who thrives in an independent setting, is well-versed in utilizing technology, and is capable of nurturing a culture of excellence and inclusivity within the team. Travel for this position will remain under 10%.
