HSA Florida Physician Group -Physician Assistant
Position Summary :
Coordinates primary health planning for patients in collaboration with physicians and hospital personnel. Assess general health status of patients by providing history and physical examinations, and monitoring of appropriate laboratory and radiographic studies. Acts as a liaison between patient, family members, hospital staff and physicians. Serves as a clinical resource to staff, providing education to enhance patient outcomes.
Position Qualification :
- The PA will work closely with surgeons and other OR staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficient surgical workflows.
- Serve as a first assist in surgical procedures, providing direct support to the surgical team in the operating room
- Demonstrates to teach adult learner at all levels.
- Excellent physical assessment skills and critical thinking skills.
- Previous Cardio Vascular experience preferred.
- Positive affect, demonstrated leadership and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
- Advanced knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Minimum of one (2) years clinical experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.
Required Licenses / Certifications :
Holds current Florida Physician Assistant license.Completion of Physician Assistant program required.NCCPA or FAPA membership preferredHolds current BLS certification.Holds current ACLS certificationLanguage Skills :
Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.Ability to write legibly (Clinical Areas).Additional languages desirable.Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.
