Mid-Level Network Engineer

BRIEF DESCRIPTION :

Sev1Tech is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in supporting the US Space Force meshONE-T program. This position will assist in the management configuration and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure. This position is based out of the Denver CO area.

Overview / Job responsibilities :

• Plans designs and evaluates new and existing computer networks services policies and procedures across local and wide area networks providing analytical technical and administrative support
• Troubleshoots network issues installs and upgrades network equipment and software to include long-haul carrier and ISP cross-connections
• Creates and maintains documentation in accordance with system configuration management processes relating to network configuration network mapping and service records
• Practices network asset management including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications
• Monitors and tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports
• Communicate effectively with other project groups such as cybersecurity network operations and Program Management teams to assist with the installation and troubleshooting of systems components
• Support of all updates to all documents when there is change in the transport design and / or technologies and collaborating with all stakeholders to test all related systems and processes to verify that the systems meet requirements and can host applications with no degradation to performance or security
• Provide design and architecture recommendations to enhance and improve network performance
