Accounting Center Of Excellence Director
This position is incentive eligible. You will be responsible for the continued development and oversight of the Accounting Center of Excellence accurate and timely completion of accounting tasks. You will be required to work in collaboration with ACE, Division & Hospital leadership, Internal Audit, field experts and other stakeholders to identify / assess impacts related to process and technology changes. This will include the continuous evaluation of existing processes to standardize and optimize workflows. As Director, you are responsible for management of their team's workload in addition to identification and escalation of risks that impact the functionality of the team. This position must maintain strong and effective working relationships with key stakeholders. You will need to demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and skilled written and oral communications. You will interact with all significant accounting functions of the Company and requires exceptional organizational, people, and managerial skills.
Job Responsibilities
Collaboration with ACE, Division & Group leadership to maintain continuity of team alignment of tasks, priorities and culture.
Oversee functions of the department for successful month end closings, including account reconciliations and resolution of outstanding items.
Organizes the workload and function of the team through the assignment of responsibilities and monitor those activities to ensure completion of work in specified time frames according to policies.
Responsible for timely, routine reviews of teams' key performance indicators (KPI) and developing plans to remediate opportunities.
Establishes productivity goals for the department and addresses opportunities.
Maintains a positive and collaborative work environment for remote teams.
Development and maintenance of standard reporting platform and reports for Hospital and Division leadership.
Review quality audits pertaining to ACE related to team functions. Verify implementation of necessary actions to enhance compliance pertaining to accuracy, timeliness and adherence to department policies, KPIs and SLAs.
Provide team and hospital support for tasks pertaining to overall function.
Serve as the main point of contact for requests from both Internal and External Audit partners.
Handles urgent, material or sensitive inquiries appropriately.
Collaborate with leaders to solve for process opportunities to enhance efficiency, compliance, and standardization.
Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of financial data.
Demonstrates ability to perform tasks in independent manner.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance is required
Master's degree in Accounting / Finance is preferred
7+ years of experience in Accounting / Finance is required
Certified Public Accountant is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
Supervisory and personnel management experience in hospital, division, or corporate setting is required.
