Job Description :
The Workforce and Economic Development Division is looking to hire a TOEFL Prep Course Facilitator.
- Teach online at scheduled times each spring, summer and fall semesters.
- Access the course roster in Elevate to access student emails and communicate your course start up instructions.
- Set up the course meeting link and email the students.
- Assign a P or F grade at the conclusion of the course in Elevate.
- Work with Division team member to identify course teaching schedule.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree.TESOL or TEFL certification.Ability to navigate technology with ease.Experience with using meeting platforms to deliver course content online.Experience with teaching IELTS or TOEFL prep.Strong command of English, including the test's specific academic focus, and a deep understanding of the four skill areas (reading, writing, listening, speaking).Be very good at grammar.Possess essential personal qualities such as strong communication, patience, empathy, and adaptability to cater to diverse learning needs.Be familiar with test structures, scoring, and official materials, and be able to motivate students to achieve high scores.Ability to teach effective test-taking strategies.Motivated to help students succeed in their test prep.The ability to understand and address the challenges and frustrations of learning a new language.Preferred Requirements :
Master's degree.ETS TOEFL Teaching Certificate.Technology proficiency.High-quality resource creation.Cultural sensitivity and empathy.Motivational and adaptive teaching style.Additional Information :
Salary : $35.31 an hour at 5 hours a week. Part-Time Non-Benefited position.
