PCU Nursing Job Details Location : Youngstown, Ohio (44504) – Ohio nursing jobs Unit : PCU / Stepdown – 8SE Neuro (32 beds, high neuro patient ratio) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour nights; every other weekend and holiday required Hours per Week : 36 Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site Scrub Color : Navy Blue Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state Minimum 1 year of RN experience; neuro nursing experience required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Must pass Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided) Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions in a clinical setting Experience with high-acuity neuro patients preferred PCU Nurse Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Coordinate patient care and serve as a primary contact for families Advocate for patient safety and participate in healthcare quality improvement initiatives Manage care for patients with multi-system organ failure, trauma, and neuro conditions Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver holistic care Maintain accurate documentation; EPIC EHR experience a plus Support patients and families through illness, injury, and treatment decisions Ready to take your nursing career to the next level?
