PART TIME OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN

Per NABET Agreement : A technician is an employee whose duties includes, but are not limited to, video and audio operations, studio, transmitter, as well as control room operations. A Technician will be required to operate and maintain electronic and mechanical equipment and to keep logs and records in connection with performance of duties.

The duties of a Technician include :

• The operation of ELC, robotic cameras, audio mixer, video switcher, ENG equipment, editing, teleprompter, spot dubbing, and other duties as assigned.
• Relaying commands from the control room to anchors and guests on the stage. Along with directing people where to go on the stage.
• Technical communication to the control room.
• Running the prompter and making timely changes for live news production.
• Adapt to show changes and perform any assigned duties for the show.
• Placing microphones on guests.
