Factory Technologies, Inc. (FTI), a Systems Integrator located in Modesto CA., is currently seeking to hire a Control Panel Wireman . This position requires working within a manufacturing environment and occasional support at client sites. This is not a remote role and is based in Modesto, CA.

Communicate your issues and come to the table with a proposed solution.The Control Panel Wireman will be most successful in this role when they have the following traditional qualifications :
12 years of experience in control panel building or electrical assembly.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and layout drawings.Strong understanding of electrical wiring practices and components.Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Responsibilities of the Control Panel Wireman will include :
Interpret technical documents : Assemble and wire control panels according to schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.Panel fabrication : Assemble, lay out, and fabricate control panels and enclosures according to design specifications. This can involve tasks like drilling, tapping holes, and cutting enclosures.Mount components : Install and connect a wide variety of electrical and electronic components, such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), relays, variable frequency drives (VFDs), terminal blocks, and circuit breakers.Route and terminate wires : Perform point-to-point wire checks, ensuring that all wires and cables are neatly routed, crimped, and terminated according to standards and diagrams.Apply standards : Build and wire panels in accordance with industry standards, such as UL508A.Functional testing : Using diagnostic tools like multimeters to conduct tests and verify the panel's functionality and continuity.Quality checks : Inspect installations, assemblies, and circuits to ensure they are wired correctly and conform to specifications.Troubleshoot : Diagnose and resolve wiring or component issues that arise during testing.Rework : Making any necessary adjustments or repairs to the panel to ensure it meets quality standards before it is shippedCollaborate with engineers : Confer with supervisors, engineers, and project managers to review or clarify work activities, and to resolve any assembly or production problems.Record changes : Note any deviations from the original design, often referred to as "redlining" the engineering documentation, for future correction.Document work : Maintain accurate records and logs of the work performed, the materials used, and any tests that were conductedAdhere to safety codes : Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Maintain a clean workspace : Keep a tidy and organized work area to help prevent accidents and streamline the build processOn-site support : Periodic travel to customer sites to assist with the field installation and commissioning of equipment. Assist team members with panel modifications and troubleshooting.Field service : Periodic inspection, service, and repair of control panels at customer locations.Desired but not required experience :
