Skillforce is currently hiring skilled Journeyman Pipefitters for work in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in industrial, commercial, and / or residential settings. Journeyman Pipefitters will work with various pipe materials and systems, ensuring precision and compliance with safety and industry standards. This is a long term commercial project, working Monday-Friday 40+hours a week, and pay is up to $35 / hr depending upon experience.

Key Responsibilities :

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine layout requirements.

Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes to required shapes and sizes using specialized tools and equipment.

Assemble and install pipes, valves, fittings, and pressure regulators for water, gas, steam, and other systems.

Inspect and test installed systems using pressure gauges and other testing methods to identify leaks or defects.

Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications to existing piping systems.

Work with various pipe materials including copper, steel, plastic, and cast iron.

Operate and maintain pipe fitting tools such as pipe cutters, welding torches, and pipe benders.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Proven experience as a Journeyman Pipefitter.

Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Proficiency in using hand and power tools required for pipefitting.

Knowledge of welding, brazing, and soldering techniques is a plus.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

OSHA safety training or equivalent safety certification is a plus.
