Position Overview :
The Department of Design and Creative Technology at The College of New Jersey invites applications for a 10-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Music Technology, starting in August 2026. In addition to teaching and scholarship, the position entails coordination of the Music Technology minor and advising students in the minor. Required courses include :
Depending on a candidate’s expertise, additional courses will include some already in our catalog — such as Audio Signal Processing , Scoring for Media or Audio Electronics . We also welcome candidates who can build on their own expertise to develop new courses, with an eye toward fostering the current skills and knowledge students expect in this area, and eventually expanding the Music Technology minor into a major. Preference will be given to candidates qualified to teach courses outside of the Music Technology program, such as courses in the Design and Creative Technology department, the Music department, or college-wide general education courses like a first-year seminar.
